Starting at the Porte Saint-Vincent, the stone circuit delivers constant shifts in perspective as you move from the crowded marina docks to the vast tidal plains of the Emerald Coast. You might have to pause near the narrow stone stairs of the Porte Saint-Thomas while a family wrestles a pushchair onto the walkway, but the bottleneck always clears quickly. Up here, the wind rarely stops pulling at your jacket. Look straight down onto the sands of Plage de Bon-Secours to spot locals swimming in the seawater pool left behind by the retreating tide. The circuit halts abruptly near the Bidouane Tower, dropping walkers back into the grid of cobblestone streets just as the afternoon shadows stretch across the medieval facades.
