City Walls Walk

Walking Route

Following the perimeter of the ancient defensive fortifications provides a wonderfully tranquil alternative to the busy inner streets. The newly restored sections of the walls allow you to walk among lush green gardens while admiring the imposing stonework that once protected the city from invaders. The path is wide, shaded by large trees and mostly free from crowds. It offers a fascinating dual perspective, looking down into the historic alleys on one side and out towards the modern city on the other.
