Loggia dei Lanzi Sculptures
This magnificent, open air arched gallery acts as a completely free extension of the world class museums. Situated in the main political square, it shelters incredibly intricate, violent Renaissance and ancient Roman sculptures, including Cellini's famous bronze Perseus holding Medusa's head. You can walk directly up to the masterpieces, examining the chisel marks and dramatic expressions without paying a single euro. It is an incredibly generous public display of priceless artistic heritage.
