Kammerzell House
A breathtaking testament to the wealth and craftsmanship of the city's Renaissance merchants. The incredibly detailed, dark wood facade features three upper storeys and an attic, all leaning precariously over a sturdy stone ground floor. Every visible inch of timber is carved with ornate motifs, including zodiac signs, historical figures, and allegories of the five senses. The striking contrast between the dark wood and the intricate leaded glass windows makes it highly photogenic. It stands as a pinnacle of Rhenish Renaissance domestic architecture.
