The Seasons of Barranquilla

The summer brings the onset of the rainy season, characterized by intense, short tropical downpours that cool the hot asphalt. The culinary scene peaks during this time with major food festivals like Sabor Barranquilla taking place. The heavy rains also mean the surrounding coastal landscapes and nearby lakes are exceptionally lush and green.
